Introduction
Carbon steels contain carbon as the primary alloying element. In addition to this, they also contain some residual elements such as chromium, molybdenum, nickel, aluminium, and copper. About 0.4% silicon and 1.2% manganese are also present in these steels. The AISI 1547 carbon steel is suitable for forgings.
The datasheet given below will discuss in detail about AISI 1547 carbon steel.
