Introduction

Super alloys or high performance alloys have the capacity to function at very high temperatures and in severe mechanical stress environments, and also where high surface stability is required. They have good creep and oxidation resistance, and can be produced in a variety of shapes. They can be strengthened by solid-solution hardening, work hardening, and precipitation hardening. There are three groups of alloys, namely cobalt-based, nickel-based, and iron-based alloys.

Hastelloy(r) C-2000(r) is a nickel-chromium–molybdenum alloy. It is most commonly available in wrought forms at the mill level. The following datasheet gives an overview of Hastelloy(r) C-2000(r).
