Introduction
Magnesium ZK21A-F alloys have been developed in an effort to obtain mechanical properties that are halfway between magnesium AZ31B and ZK60A alloys; good weldability in contrast to magnesium ZK60A alloy and freedom from stress relief requirements in contrast to magnesium AZ31B alloy.
They are designated using the ASTM and SAE system in which the first part indicates the two main alloying elements in the alloy and the second part represents their percentages.
The following datasheet gives an overview of magnesium ZK21A-F alloy.
