The UNS numbers C50000 to C59999 indicate phosphor bronzes. They are a group of copper alloys with tin and phosphorus playing a bigger role.

Fabrication
Machinability - The machinability of copper UNS C51800 alloy is rated at 20.
Welding - Welding methods such as butt resistance welding, soldering and brazing are considered as excellent for this alloy. Gas shielded arc welding and spot resistance welding are rated as good while coated metal arc welding, seam resistance welding, and oxyacetylene welding are rated as fair.
Hot working - Copper UNS C51800 alloy has limited hot working abilities. The hot working temperature for this alloy ranges between 650 and 750 °C (1205 and 1382°F)
Cold working - Copper UNS C51800 alloy has excellent cold working properties.
Annealing - Copper UNS C51800 alloy is annealed at temperatures ranging between 500 – 700 °C (932 and 1292 ºF).
