Introduction
Molybdenum-tungsten alloys are of three types based on the composition of the alloy. The three types are MW20, MW30 and MW50, the tungsten content being 20, 30 and 50, respectively. Some of the characteristics of these alloys are improved performance at high temperatures, improved corrosion resistance and enhanced etchability. The molybdenum-tungsten MW20 alloy consists of 20% tungsten by weight.
This datasheet will look into the chemical composition, properties and applications of Plansee MW20 molybdenum-tungsten alloy.
Chemical Composition
The chemical composition of MW20 alloy is given in the following table.
Element |
Content (%) |
