The OMNIS titration platform provides a suitable solution to handle the increasing number of challenges being faced in routine laboratory operations. The titration platform is a much faster system, allowing laboratories to conduct up to four analyses simultaneously on the same instrument. The ability to perform completely contact-free chemical handling not only ensures operator safety, but also ascertains full result traceability. The user-friendly system actively avoids operator errors and is equipped with easy-to-learn software that can be used by anyone in the laboratory.
Throughput on a Whole New Level
OMNIS allows a laboratory to carry out four fully automated different or identical analyses concurrently on the same system, quadrupling the sample throughput. With this platform, users can get most out of their system capacity. Upon identifying free workstation capacity, the platform uses it to perform the subsequent analyses automatically.
Safety on a Whole New Level
Contact-Free Chemical Handling with the 3S Adapter Technology
OMNIS is equipped with Metrohm’s patented 3S adapter technology, which eliminates the need to open bottles when switching between reagents, and prevents users from making contact with potentially unsafe liquids. The certified and sealed original reagent bottle can be integrated with a single hand movement. Also, the 3S adapter technology helps identify the reagents in a clear and unambiguous manner. An RFID chip provided in the cap of the original bottle comprises of all of the manufacturer-provided data pertaining to the reagent. When the bottle cap is unsealed by the adapter, the communication is established automatically between the titration system and data chip. This feature eliminates the chance for mix-ups.
The term “3S” represents safe, secure, and smart:
- Safe chemistry handling
- Secure data transfer
- Smart connection of chemical consumables
Safer Analyses
With 3S adapter technology, the OMNIS platform allows users to trace their studies all of the way back to the reagent manufacturer-provided analysis certificates. The system eliminates all factors of human error. Ultimately, users can obtain reliable results. RFID recognition helps to clearly identify the reagents used and ensures the complete traceability of the studies.
Ease of Use on a Whole New Level
An Analysis Platform That Anyone Can Master
OMNIS is easy to use as users are already naturally familiar with virtually all of its applications:
- Complete graphical representation of the analysis platform on the user interface
- Intuitive drag and drop operation throughout
- Context-sensitive operation – only the relevant information will be displayed by the user interface
A New Dimension of User Guidance
The OMNIS analysis platform is the result of extensive, decades-long conversation between Metrohm and its customers, the lab users. Based on customer feedback, Metrohm incorporated a number of functions to guide users in configuring their analyses, assessing their results, and managing their data:
- System checks, actionable alerts, and concrete solution recommendations
- Visual status indicators ensure the proper configuration and functioning of system components
- Freely editable templates for meeting all user requirements, such as commands, processes, methods, and much more
Efficiency on a Whole New Level
Focus on the Sample
OMNIS is a user-friendly system that directly links the results for the individual parameters of interest to the corresponding sample, putting an end to complicated and laborious analyses. With OMNIS, all questions related to samples can be answered almost instantaneously. The analyses are actively managed by the system in order to improve their efficiency.
Upon identifying free capacity, the platform automatically assigns the subsequent analysis to an open titrator, module, or workstation, delivering more results within a shorter period of time. All results are linked to the sample of interest in the OMNIS software.
A System with No Limits
OMNIS is a completely modular system, allowing users to begin with only a titrator and a workstation for their specific applications. Users can easily integrate additional accessories such as workstations, measuring interfaces, racks, pumps, stirrers, and burets to handle with the increasing number of samples or analyses.
The completely modular OMNIS software allows users to expand their systems that are originally configured to handle their current requirements, by incorporating new functions whenever required. With the OMNIS platform, users can always remain up to date, because in the coming years, OMNIS will provide the whole world of Metrohm analysis technology in a single system.
