PPG Industries Relocates Application Support Center to Miyoshi, Expands Aerospace Operations in Japan

PPG Industries has expanded its aerospace business operations in Japan with the relocation of its application support center to a site in Miyoshi that supports increased production capacity, adds warehouse space and affords new service capabilities. The new site in Miyoshi Kurozasa Industrial Park includes a 1,994-square-meter manufacturing facility and office as well as an 890-square-meter stand-alone on-site warehouse.

ATK Announces its PUMA Solar Arrays Successfully Deployed on Orbital Science’s SES-8 Satellite

ATK announced today that its Planar Unfolding Modular Array (PUMA) solar arrays were successfully deployed on Orbital Science's SES-8 satellite, which launched last night and will carry communications for SES S.A. of Luxembourg. This marks the 90th successful on-orbit deployment of an ATK solar array wing.

$15 Million Dollar Purchase Orders Awarded to CPI Aerostructures from Boeing Defense

CPI Aerostructures, Inc. ("CPI Aero®") today announced that it has received purchase orders totaling more than $15 million from the Boeing Defense, Space & Security unit of The Boeing Company ("Boeing") for assemblies for the A-10 aircraft. These represent follow-on orders for CPI Aero’s previously announced long-term requirements contract to support Boeing's A-10 Wing Replacement Program (WRP).

Dynamic Precision Group Closes Acquisition of Eight Unison Engine Components Facilities

Global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group today announced that Dynamic Precision Group, operating under the market-facing name Paradigm Precision, a DPG Company, has closed its acquisition of eight aerospace component fabrication and machining facilities located on three sites in the U.S., Canada and the UK from Unison Engine Components, a subsidiary of GE Aviation.
