Semiconductor Manufacturer Tronics Again Recognized for Fast Growth

Tronics Microsystems SA, a leading global contract developer and manufacturer of highly differentiated custom MEMS (micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) components for demanding applications, has been recognized for the fourth consecutive year as one of the fastest-growing technology companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Tronics ranked 18th among semiconductor and equipment companies in the 2007 Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA awards. Tronics also was ranked for the second consecutive year as the fastest-growing semiconductor/equipment company in France.

Announced on Nov. 26, the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA program awards are based on five-year average percentage revenue growth of publicly traded and private companies.

Separately, Tronics also received the Jean-Michel Lamure Prize awarded by Deloitte & Touche to the fastest-growing French company that was originated from a technology transfer. The award is given in memory of Jean-Michel Lamure, who co-founded Soitec in 1992. Both Tronics and Soitec were spun out of CEA/Leti, the French micro- and nanotechnology research organization in Grenoble.

“These recognitions once again highlight Tronics’ continuing leadership in providing custom MEMS devices for our select customer base,” said Tronics CEO Peter Pfluger. “Our consistent revenue growth coupled with our steady profitability is based on our strategic partnership with leading players in their respective markets. They rely on Tronics’ expertise to integrate MEMS based solutions in their products”
