Havens Steel File for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

Havens Steel, a Kansas-based steel manufacturer with an 80 year history have today filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection.

Havens Steel are a manufacturer and installer of steel support structures.

The application for bankruptcy protection came after their principal lender, Commerce Bank decided not to advance Havens Steel a line of credit that would allow them to continue working on scheduled jobs. The steel company have a backlog of work which will allow them to be profitable, they claim they are just experiencing a cash flow problem.
