Dow Corning expanded its silicone rubber operations at Wiesbaden, Germany June 2, enhancing its ability to meet growing demand for silicone rubber in Europe and the Middle East. The site will manufacture High Consistency Rubber (HCR) and Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) for a full spectrum of industrial and consumer applications.

“This latest investment in a centralized production and warehousing facility furthers Dow Corning’s ability to provide customers with quality products, services and improved delivery performance,” said Klaus Hoffmann, Dow Corning's European Area president and Global Supply Chain director for silicone rubber. “The Wiesbaden location is TS16949 certified and staffed with both customer service and technical service teams. It offers a strong position to serve key clients and markets in Germany, France, and throughout Europe, including emerging markets in Russia, Eastern Europe, and Turkey,” Hoffmann added.
The expansion fits in the company’s investment in silicone rubber worldwide in the last ten years. In April, Dow Corning opened a new rubber manufacturing site in China to support growth in the Asia region. It also marks a new step in the continuous growth of the Wiesbaden site since Dow Corning established its presence there in 1983.
