Vitra Tiles to Build New 8 Million Euro Plant

Turkish owned Vitra Tiles is to spend 8 million Euros and build a new ceramic tile plant Arklow, Ireland.

The new plant will add to the existing plant which was established in 1998. Existing output capacity will increase from 1,100,000 square metres to 1,750,000 square metres.

Production from the new plant is scheduled to come on line at the end of the year and is expected to increase Vitra’s market in Ireland share from 5% to 8%.
