Latest Developments from Dow Elastomers to be Presented at ACS Rubber Expo

Dow Elastomers, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), will present its latest technical developments in NORDEL™ MG Hydrocarbon Rubber at the ACS Rubber Expo, held October 14-16, 2008, at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville.

Dow scientists will present three papers that demonstrate how Dow applies its material science expertise to help solve customers’ most challenging issues. Dow’s point man on innovation – B. First and his team of experts, will also be available to discuss innovative rubber-related technology and products from Dow Elastomers.

Dow will present the following papers during the Technical Meeting Program:

  • "New Methodology for Defect Characterization in EPDM," by Brian Walther (Oct. 14, Session B – New Commercial Developments)
  • "Molecular Structure and Processing Characteristics of a Granular Gas-phase Metallocene EPDM Rubber," by Wenbin Liang (Oct. 15, Session C – Advances in Rubber Processing)
  • "Designs for Sustainable NORDEL Hydrocarbon Rubber EPDM Manufacturing Processes and Products," co-chaired by Arnis U. Paeglis and Rajan G. Vara (Oct. 16, Session B – Heat, Fluid and Flame-Resistant Elastomers)
