American Elements Announce Expansion on Bromide Compound Production to Meet Market Demand

American Elements announced the further expansion of its bromide compound production facilities to meet growing demand for non-hazardous bromide salts. Bromide compounds are available as both powders and solutions and marketed under the trademark AE Bromides(TM).

The new production capacity will affect deliveries beginning in November '08. Recent changes in U.S. and European laws requiring that non-hazardous forms of metallic compounds be used in the supply chain for many products including automobiles and electronics has lead to a transition from typically hazardous forms of the metal, such as nitrates, to safe compounds.

The increased capacity will also expand American Elements' production of all its bromide-related products including Cerium, Lanthanum, Erbium, Ytterbium, Neodymium, Yttrium and other rare earth elements, Gallium, Hafnium, Scandium, Niobium, Indium, Ruthenium, Zirconium, transition metals such as Copper, Nickel, Tin and Cobalt and precious metals such as Gold, Silver, Platinum and Palladium as well as other advanced elements.
