Applied Nanoscience Receives EPA Registration for Nanoparticle Coating for Air Filters

Applied Nanoscience Inc. (ANI) (PINKSHEETS: APNN), a nanotechnology-based filtration development company, today announced that it received notice of a successful EPA-F.I.F.R.A. registration from its exclusive toll manufacturer of NanoFense, a proprietary antimicrobial nanoparticle formulation developed by ANI to coat or impregnate virtually any air filter media. The completed registration positions Applied Nanoscience to supply their patent-pending silver nanoparticle "coating" to air filtration companies around the world via licensure.

"This positive development with our manufacturing partner moves ANI forward in supplying our proprietary technology to license partners globally while in full compliance in an industry with increasing regulation," said Thomas K. Allen, President and CEO, ANI.

ANI has to date received patents on its platform technology in Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand and India.

F.I.F.R.A. is the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act, a United States federal law with emphasis on protection of the environment and public health.
