Siemens Now Offering Vibrating Point Level Switches for Bulk Solids

Siemens Industry Automation Division has added the Sitrans LVS100 to its line of vibrating point level switches for high, low, or demand levels of dry bulk solids in bins, silos, or hoppers. The new device detects the presence of material with bulk densities starting at 60 grams/liter (3.8 lb/ft3) in mining, food, plastics, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries in hazardous applications.

Used primarily for high or low level indication, and redundancy of continuous level systems as overfill or dry run protection. Sitrans LVS100 is impervious to external vibrations, and the vibrating fork design ensures the sensing tines are kept clean for reduced maintenance.

Sitrans LVS100 has a compact design that can be top-, side-, or angle-mounted. The rotating enclosure ensures easy installation and wiring, and can be easily connected to an alarm system or control room. Sitrans LVS100 is exceptionally durable with no moving parts. The stainless steel process connections and rugged aluminum housing provide high resistance to mechanical forces, ensuring a long reliable service life.
