Zhongding Sealing Parts Buys Rubber Businesses from Myers Industries

Myers Industries, Inc. (NYSE: MYE) today announced that it has entered into a non-binding letter of intent with Zhongding Sealing Parts Co. Ltd. to sell substantially all of the assets of its Buckhorn Rubber Products, Inc. and Michigan Rubber Products, Inc. subsidiaries to Zhongding Sealing Parts Co. Ltd.

Assuming that all of the conditions set forth in the non-binding letter of intent are satisfied, Myers Industries anticipates that the sale would occur before November 2009.

Myers Industries is issuing this press release in order to clarify an earlier release of information by Zhongding.
