TMK Starts Shipping Pipes for Sakhalin - Khabarovsk - Vladivostok Gas Pipeline

TMK, one of the world's leading producers of oil and gas pipes, announced today that it began shipments of longitudinal welded large-diameter pipes to Gazprom for the construction of the Sakhalin - Khabarovsk - Vladivostok gas pipeline.

During the month of September, TMK shipped 8,000 tonnes of 1220mm K60 grade longitudinal welded pipe with wall thickness between 17.8 and 21.2mm and internal protective coating. This pipe range is produced at Volzhsky's large-diameter longitudinal welded pipe mill, which was commissioned in late 2008 as part of TMK's Strategic Investment Programme.

Before the year's end, TMK expects to supply more than 70,000 tonnes of large-diameter longitudinal pipe for the construction of the Sakhalin - Khabarovsk - Vladivostok gas pipeline.
