Novolipetsk Steel has passed a series of audits conducted by TÜV CERT, the independent German certifying agency. During the audit procedure, TÜV CERT experts examined the Company's overall Quality Management System confirming its compliance with international standard ISO 9001:2008.
They also confirmed NLMK's Quality Management System in hot-rolling production compliance with the European Council Directive 97/23/EG and Technical Regulations AD 2000 W. In addition, experts confirmed that NLMK's production complies with Directive 89/106/EEC and the Company received the right to use the CE mark on steel produced for the construction industry.
TÜV CERT experts checked all Quality Management System processes, the proper application and execution of regulatory acts, and confirmed NLMK's compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and corresponding European directives, as well as its right to use CE mark on steel products used for construction.
For reference:
The compliance of the Company's Quality Management System to the international standard ISO 9001:2008 certifies that all business processes from signing the supply contracts to product deliveries comply with international requirements.
The European Union directives system traces the quality of goods entering the European market and their safety for customers and the environment. The CE mark certifies the compliance of the product to the requirements of the directives and therefore grants the right for the manufacturer's products to be marketed on the European market.
