Changda Launches New Technology for Fertilizer Packaging

Changda International Holdings Inc. (“Changda” or the “Company”, OTC Bulletin Board: CIHD), a China based specialty manufacturing company, has developed new technology for an improved packaging system for its fertilizer products which has the effect of reducing the amount of air that can enter the fertilizer packaging material, making it more durable during transportation.

This technology was developed through the Company’s continued research and development efforts and the Company has applied for a patent with the National Intellectual Property Bureau in the People’s Republic of China for this new technology.

“The introduction of this new packaging technology makes the delivery of our products easier and our product even more competitive because our distributors can decrease their time and effort spent on repackaging prior to distribution to the end user. Typically, about 5% of a delivery to a distributor has to be repackaged due to wear and tear during transportation from our packaging facility. Our research and development team determined that the amount of air that enters into the packaging material taken in conjunction with the transport conditions in China is the main reason for certain durability issues during the transportation process. By reducing the air content that can enter into the packaging material, our products are able to be transported to our distributors in a safe and timely manner while at the same time improving the storage conditions and quality of our fertilizer products. We are also very proud of our research and development efforts which allowed us to implement this improvement at virtually no cost.” said Mr QinRan Zhu, CEO of the Company.

“The new improved packaging system does not only help our end users and distributors, it also makes our Company greener, as we safe up to 100,000 plastic bags on 100,000 tons of product. Furthermore, we believe that the Chinese government will continue to further improve its environmental laws, which could include the development of packaging regulations for fertilizer products. Our new packaging system will put us ahead of the curve in our efforts to provide our products in a more environmentally friendly manner” said Carsten Aschoff, independent director of the Company.
