Matsushita Develop World’s First Flexible Sheet PTCR Heater

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., best known for its Panasonic brand products, today announced development of a revolutionary, flexible sheet-type PTC heater. The heater uses elastic PTC (positive temperature coefficient) resistors printed on a thin non-woven fabric, offering ultimate flexibility, rapid heat-up, and energy-saving properties. The heater revolutionizes heating applications, turning walls, floors, draperies, and even clothing into heaters. Matsushita Electric will introduce commercial products using the heater by the spring of 2005.
