PPG's White Paper Compares Corrosion Testing of Clarvista Glass with Competitive Products

PPG Industries (NYSE: PPG) has published a white paper comparing corrosion testing of Clarvista(TM) glass to competitive shower glass products.

The white paper describes the results of four industry-standard durability tests, as well as an accelerated high-temperature, high-humidity test involving Clarvista glass and other shower glass products. The testing showed that Clarvista glass was equal or superior in durability, clarity retention and corrosion resistance, and that it can be cleaned and maintained with most non-abrasive, off-the-shelf cleaning products. Photos of test results also are included.

Clarvista glass is made with a coating that seals the glass surface, enabling it to resist corrosion caused by heat, humidity and household cleaning products. With regular maintenance, Clarvista glass looks newer longer than other coated and uncoated shower glass products.

Available on clear and Starphire(R) ultra-clear glass substrates, Clarvista glass is manufactured in thicknesses of 6 millimeters, 10 millimeters and 12 millimeters. Stock sizes are 96 inches by 130 inches.
