Mansfield Oil Announces New Ethanol Marketing Partnership

Today, Mansfield Oil Company announces the addition of Clean Burn Fuels to C&N Companies’ existing portfolio of ethanol marketing partnerships.

Clean Burn Fuels, a dry grind facility, is in the heart of a major pork and poultry producing region. The plant will market dry distillers grains to local livestock producers. As the first ethanol production facilitity in North Carolina, the plant will benefit from strong local markets for ethanol that have historically been underserved logistically.

“This is our first plant relationship in the region and will add welcome capacity to our network in such a key area of demand for ethanol. Clean Burn Fuels has started grinding this week and will have product available for sale in August. We’re excited about being able to serve our key accounts in the Southeastern U.S. with locally produced supply,” said Douglas Haugh, EVP of Mansfield Oil.

Doug Archer, General Manager for Clean Burn Fuels stated, “C&N committed to service our plants’ marketing needs very early on in our development planning, and their support was a key to the successful development of our plant. We like their transparent approach which gives us the ability to manage our business, forecast our margins, and provide Clean Burn Fuels broad access to existing customers across the Southeastern U.S. markets.”

Jon Bjornstad, who founded C&N in 2000 with the goal of providing the top ethanol marketing program for independent and farmer-owned ethanol refiners said, “I’m excited about the logistical advantages Clean Burn Fuels will provide to our customers in the region and to be able to bring locally produced product to North Carolina and surrounding markets.”
