Global Defense Technology & Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: GTEC), a provider of mission-critical, technology-based systems, solutions and services for national security agencies and programs of the U.S. government, today announced that it will showcase its water reclamation and packaging solutions at Modern Day Marine, the premier equipment, systems, services and technology exposition for the United States Marine Corps.
Modern Day Marine takes place September 28-30, 2010 at Marine Corps Base, Quantico.
With a U.S. military that is more expeditionary than ever before, often operating in some of the world's harshest locations, today's warfighters require force support systems that are rapidly deployable, easily transportable, cost-efficient and designed to meet the challenges of difficult environments. Accessing, securing and transporting the water required to sustain the well-being of forward operating troops is one of the major risks to the U.S. military's mission success. In response to this challenge, GTEC has integrated and deployed multiple solutions to conserve, purify and package water to reduce transport exposure, risk and cost.
At Modern Day Marine, GTEC will showcase two of its ruggedized and highly mobile water solutions. GTEC's gray water reclamation system is fully automatic, easy to use and sets up and is ready for operation in less than 90 minutes. The system limits the exposure of transporting water in hazardous environments by reclaiming up to 80% of gray water, removing contaminants and producing potable quality water for reuse.
Also on display will be GTEC's mobile water packaging system (MWPS). The MWPS meets the life-sustaining water needs of forward operating troops by filling a variety of pre-formed, portable, individual-use water pouches fitted with drinking spouts. The environmentally efficient system integrates with military trailers, is easy to use, connects to any potable water source and has onboard sanitation to assure water quality.
GTEC representatives will be available in booth #302 to discuss the company's capabilities and past performance supporting its U.S. military customers by providing the technological advantages that enable warfighters of today and tomorrow to achieve operational success.
