Chemtura Corporation today announced it will inaugurate a new production line for its Naugalube(R) 403 liquid antioxidant at its existing plant in Rio Claro, Brazil, by the end of 2010.
"This is an important product for us and a key addition to our manufacturing capabilities, enabling Chemtura to continue to meet the growing and diverse needs of our customers in the global fuel market," noted Dr. Gerard Mulqueen, Global Business Director, Petroleum Additives.
Naugalube(R) 403 is currently manufactured at Chemtura's facility in Latina, Italy. Naugalube(R) FAO 32, another leading biofuels liquid antioxidant, is manufactured in Catenoy, France. Together they supply Europe, the world's fastest-growing biofuels market.
"Our new facility in Brazil will position Chemtura to be a leading supplier of liquid antioxidants to producers of biofuels in Brazil and Argentina, the next fastest growing global market," said Naureen Stone, Global Market Manager Inhibitors. "Our antioxidants are 100 percent active, effective at eliminating injector deposits, ensure storage protection and long-lasting stability, and allow biofuel manufacturers to meet or exceed specifications for their products."
Naugalube(R) 403 and Naugalube(R) FAO 32 are both certified to the stringent quality, filtration and engine compatibility standards of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Qualitatsmanagement Biodiesel (AGQM), the German biodiesel quality management working group.
