Tosoh Bioscience LLC, a provider of chromatographic solutions for biopurification, recently announced the introduction of Toyopearl AF-rProtein A-650F resin for the capture and large-scale purification of monoclonal antibodies.
The Toyopearl AF-rProtein A-650F resin is synthesized using a novel recombinant Protein A ligand bound to the 45 micron, 1,000Å pore size base bead, using multipoint attachment. The ligand is non-animal derived. The new resin can tolerate CIP in both 0.1mol/L and 0.5mol/L NaOH.
Process economics stand to benefit from the competitive capacity of Toyopearl AF-rProtein A-650F resin and its competitive price.
According to Al Jackewitz, biopurification market manager at Tosoh Bioscience LLC, the new resin is in inventory and now available for purchase.
