Japan-Based Frontier Laboratories Establishes New Operation in California

Frontier Laboratories Ltd., the leading manufacturer of instrumentation designed for materials characterization and analysis, today announced the establishment of its US operations at 5141 Lone Tree Way, Antioch, California.

Frontier Laboratories (US) will work with Diablo Analytical to assist its existing US distributors -- Quantum Analytics and Shimadzu -- with distribution, training, technical support and marketing. The company also intends to add new distributors.

While pyrolyzers have historically been used for the analysis and characterization of polymeric products, Frontier's fourth generation pyrolyzer incorporates features which extend its utility into a variety of material characterization applications and protocols such as the testing of children's toys for phthalates, identifying additives used in the production of rubber and isolating the organics in viscous liquids such as cosmetics and other natural products. An important feature of Frontier's design is that virtually all samples can be analyzed directly, thus eliminating cumbersome, time consuming, and expensive sample preparation steps.

The winner of eight Japanese awards for entrepreneurship, Frontier Laboratories is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
