Praxair Mexico, Fonderia Enter Oxygen Supply Agreement

Praxair Mexico, a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX), has signed a contract with Fondería to supply oxygen through a vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) plant.

The plant is designed to increase Fondería’s productivity in its annual production of 600,000 tons steel.

Under this new contract, Praxair Mexico will supply 120 tons of oxygen per day and is expected to begin operations in the third quarter of 2011.

“We have been working with Praxair Mexico for the past four years and are very pleased with their reliable and safe performance,” said Fernando Abaroa, general director of Fondería. “We are looking forward to having Praxair as a strategic partner in this new project.”
