Holcim’s Missouri-Based Facility Wins Jeffersonian Award

Holcim (US) Inc., one of the nation's leading manufacturers and suppliers of cement and mineral components, today announced that its Ste. Genevieve plant, located in Bloomsdale, Missouri was recently awarded The Jeffersonian Award by the Jefferson County Growth & Development Association.

"We are honored to have been recognized for the contributions Holcim and our employees have made to Jefferson County," said Jeff Ouhl, vice president, manufacturing and plant manager of the Ste. Genevieve plant. "Although our plant is located in Ste. Genevieve County, it is important that we are supportive of surrounding communities, the communities in which our employees and their families live."

Rick Fisher, manager, community and public relations, Jefferson Regional Medical Center and a member of the board of directors for Jefferson County Growth & Development Association said, "Holcim has been a vital and active member of this community long before they even began operation and we are happy and proud to give them this award in recognition of all their contributions to the region. We look forward to a long future together."

The Ste. Genevieve plant has supported several initiatives, including, Jefferson County YMCA - 5-K Run; Crystal City High School - Memorial for Fallen Soldier – Sgt. Brandon Wallace and Girls Softball Team; Jefferson Memorial Hospital, - Chaplain's Fund; and Jefferson County R-VII Schools – Little League and Project Prom.

This prestigious award is given every two years to businesses in Jefferson County, Missouri by the Jefferson County Growth & Development Association. The award recognizes those businesses who display civic involvement, integrity, exemplary service to the community and who make an impact on the lives of Jefferson County residents and businesses.
