Architectonic design options for exterior and interior use new builds without glass features are unthinkable today.
Even for restoration work, architects and building owners are falling back on facade glass. New processing technology enables UNIGLAS, the free cooperation between insulation glass manufacturers and glass refiners, to develop architectonic design options for facade glass. The UNIGLAS | FACADE facade glass is weather-proof and age-resistant, colour-coated, can be cut and has safety properties for use in warm and cold facades. Thanks to a special manufacturing procedure, an optimal and equal spread of heat is guaranteed. Thomas Fiedler, technical manager of UNIGLAS: "anyone looking at it sees a totally normal pane of glass. But it is not a normal pane, but a one-of-a-kind safety glass pane. The extraordinary resistance is achieved through the durable and high-strength combination of float glass and metal." So for the facade of a train platform a combination of 4mm and 6 mm of stained and mono-colour panes were used. Due to the varied operating areas, a whole range of exterior and interior uses are covered. Almost all colours or printed pictures are reproducible here. Neither light shines through the printed colour nor is an optimal distortion to be calculated on. The installation can take place with special mounted support under cover.
UNIGLAS | FACADE facade glass is, like every float glass surface, easy to clean with water or can be configured easily with the UNIGLAS | Clean light glass care product. If replacement panes are required, these are fully reproducible and will match the previous panes perfectly, even if they were manufactured several years apart. Alongside the individual colour design of all RAL, NCS or other colours and individual staining possibilities, the safety glass is also very light weight. Even quadratic formats of 4 mm thin glass remain level. UNIGLAS | FACADE facade glass is splinter free and corresponds to the VSG safety characteristics. Furthermore, further processing to insulation glass panels is possible. Product checks in accordance with the European insulation glass standards EN 1279-2 and EN 1297-3 are available. Typical areas of use are warm or cold facades, for example for offices and commercial buildings, train stations, airports, hospitals, schools, hotels and shopping centres. But there are also facades for sales rooms in the relevant safety area, escalators, elevators, partition walls or sign post systems.
Alongside UNIGLAS | FACADE facade glass, the free and independent cooperation for insulation glass manufacturers and glass refiners presents numerous glass applications in various functions at the Bau trade fair 2011 in hall C2, stand 330.
