Berlin Packaging, a leading full-service supplier of plastic, glass, and metal containers and closures, announced today that all sales and warehouse locations formerly known as All-Pak, Inc., are now operating under the Berlin Packaging name.
The rebranding is the culmination of a 10-month initiative to integrate the two businesses, following Berlin Packaging's acquisition of All-Pak in March 2010.
All-Pak's back-office business systems have also been migrated to Berlin Packaging's award-winning Oracle/PeopleSoft enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform, enabling former All-Pak customers and suppliers to have access to Berlin Packaging's advanced order, inventory, and delivery management systems. Oracle/PeopleSoft technology has played a central role in maximizing Berlin Packaging's customer service, including helping the company achieve 99% on-time delivery every month for over six years.
With the All-Pak rebranding and the acquisition of Continental Packaging Solutions announced last month, Berlin Packaging now has:
- More than 70 sales and warehouse facilities operating under the Berlin Packaging banner across North America, putting more resources closer to customers in key geographic markets for enhanced customer service.
- A broader network of expertise, with deep knowledge in personal care, pharmaceutical, lab supplies, food and beverage, chemical and industrial, dangerous goods packaging, and other vital sectors.
- A powerful array of services, including custom packaging design, international sourcing, capital lending, supply chain optimization, inventory management, and assembly.
The combined Berlin Packaging/All-Pak organization experienced double-digit sales growth in 2010, with each original entity also experiencing double digit sales growth.
"Our goal in acquiring All-Pak was to improve on what we already did well by extending our geographic reach, adding packaging consultants, broadening our product offerings, and sharing best practices. Integrating the two companies has accomplished all of these goals with no disruption to either customers or suppliers," said Andrew T. Berlin, Chairman and CEO of Berlin Packaging. "We are now operating as a single company under one of the best-known brands in the packaging marketplace, ensuring efficient and consistent service with common procedures and a shared philosophy that has driven this company for decades: 'Anything Is Possible.'"
