Holcim’s Five Cement Plants Win ENERGY STAR Award

Holcim (US) Inc. announced today that for the third consecutive year, two of its plants – Devil's Slide in Morgan, UT and Theodore in Theodore, AL – have earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's ("EPA") prestigious ENERGY STAR®.

In addition, Holcim (US) announced that three of its plants are first time recipients of the award.  Those plants are Ste. Genevieve in Bloomsdale, MO, Trident in Three Forks, MT, and Holly Hill in Holly Hill, SC.  The ENERGY STAR® is the national symbol for protecting the environment through superior energy performance.

"The fact that two of Holcim (US) cement plants have received this award for three consecutive years demonstrates the commitment our management team and employees have to protecting the environment," said Bernard Terver, president and chief executive officer of Holcim (US).

Mr. Terver added, "Adding three plants to the list is an outstanding accomplishment for our employees who are dedicated to doing what we can to conserve our natural resources."
