Latest Coke Making Technologies to be Discussed at Eurocoke Summit 2011

IntertechPira is pleased to announce the complete agenda for the 7th annual Eurocoke Summit 2011, scheduled for 5-7 April at the Hotel Savoyen in Vienna, Austria.

This year’s event will analyze coke market developments in Europe and around the globe, explore the latest coke making technologies and provide competitive intelligence on the steel, coke and coal markets.

The Eurocoke Summit is chaired by Viktor Stiskala, Director, Corporate Coke Lab for ArcelorMittal and Aleksander Sobolewski of the Institute for Chemical Processing of Coal. Key speakers include Helen O'Malley from CRU Analysis, Benoit de Meulemeester of Mechel Carbon Ag, Wlodzimierz Herezniak from Polski Koks SA and Ganesh Natarajan of Ennore Coke.

“As coke prices are rebounding due to rising steel production and limited coal and coke supply, 2011 will be a busy year for the coke, coal, and steel sectors. Last year, more than 150 international leaders from across the coke, coal and steel industries attended this event,” said Christopher Smith, senior conference producer for IntertechPira. “If you are involved in this industry, you can’t afford to miss this key knowledge and networking opportunity.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from the leading companies in the industry including ThyssenKrupp MinEnergy (TIANJIN) Co. Ltd., Global Coke Ltd., Wood Mackenzie, Suncoke Energy, Hatch, DMT GmbH, Schalker Eisenhutt, John M. Henderson, VECON GmbH and Uhde GmbH. On Tuesday, 5 April, two pre-conference seminars will be held: “Coal Use in Steelmaking” led by Harshraj Chati from Mayan Global Consultants and “Principles of Coke making” led by Ingomar Koehler of Procomco.

Eurocoke Summit 2011 will feature more than 18 expert presentations assessing market trends, technical development and application related advances through presentations, question-and-answer sessions and panel discussions. Throughout the conference, there will be a number of hosted luncheons, breaks and receptions, which will be held in and around the exhibit area located outside the main conference room. Sponsorship and exhibition opportunities are available; however they are going quickly.
