Pall has announced that it will display sophisticated filtration products to facilitate lab procedures at the Pittcon Conference and Expo 2011 to be conducted from 13 to 18 March 2011 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Pall will showcase its AcroPrep Advance Filter Plates, Microsep Advance and Macrosep Advance Ultrafiltration Centrifugal instruments and high performance Acrodisc PSF Syringe Filters at the expo. The AcroPrep Advance Filter Plates use ultra performance membranes in an improved filter plate setup for protein, genomic and diagnostic applications. Novel sealing technology and sophisticated tip shape offer quick and even filtration rates, enhancing lot-to-lot, plate-to-plate and well-to-well reliability.
The Microsep Advance and Macrosep Advance Ultrafiltration Centrifugal instruments facilitate numerous protein handling and nucleic acid handling processes, assisting in high rates of recovery of up to 90% and high volumes of uncontaminated products. Ultrafiltration decreases sample handling and thus reduces sample damage, allowing concentrated samples for direct integration into downstream applications at vital phases in the discovery method.
The high-performance Acrodisc PSF Syringe Filters accelerate sample verification and processing. The automation-certified Acrodisc filter comes with multi-layered glass fiber prefilters or single-layered membranes and has more retaining capacity than normal 25 mm instruments. The syringe filters are designed for enhanced retention efficacy. With GHP membrane, they offer a column life that is 46 times more than normal glass fiber prefilter instruments and also provide two to four fold better output. The Acrodisc filter comes with GHP hydrophilic polypropylene membrane for low levels of ultraviolet-absorbing extractables, low protein binding, quick flow rates and optimal chemical compatibility.
