Specialty chemicals firm, Galata Chemicals has unveiled a new, sustainable candle wax material based on vegetables. The Soypex 100 is an ideal substitute for paraffin wax used in petroleum-based candle goods.
The Soypex 100 enhances burn properties of commercial soy wax-based candles and expands the formulation of high bio-based content brands and green candle. The new material is ideal for producing both freestanding and container candles with up to 100% bio-based content, offering complete eco-friendly solutions to the customers. It can be mixed with essential oils, fragrances and colorants and can be utilized along with all types of commercial waxes. The resulting products feature high scent throw, better glass adhesion, extended burn time, and low soot and smoke formation.
Producer of high-quality candles, Trulabs has used the Soypex 100 for its premium brands such as Modern Notes and Saint Parfum scented candles and confirmed the performance characteristics of the product.
The President and Chief Executive Officer at Galata Chemicals, Eric Wisnefsky commented that reduction in the distillation of Group I base oils has reduced the production of paraffin wax and created the demand for suitable substitutes like the Soypex 100.
