PPG Pittsburgh Paints has unveiled a new 25-color palette that reflects the major shades of the Up North area. Paint storeowners and local interior designers developed the new palette, Up North Color Collection, which represents the individuality and magnificence of the region.
Pale yellow, fresh blue and soft green of the Beach Glass colors represents the smoothed glass seen on the sandy shorelines. Each color in the palette has been inspired by the surroundings of the place. The organic palette comprises rich and soft colors such as Farmer's Market Red, a bold, saturated shade, and Land of Delight, a watercolor blue. The local designers chose timeless colors to bring the natural beauty into the Up North homes.
Designer Linda Dean Stallman, ASID, stated that the colors in the palette are a mix of natural components, regional landscape and water. The deep-toned colors are highly saturated and produce a unique look to the Up North region, she added.
The palette is a part of the company’s Voice of Color Program. Customers can purchase the new collection at Petoskey and Northwood Paint and Supply in Traverse City and Complete Paint and Supplies in Harbor Springs.
