ReSound, a hearing aid manufacturer, releases results from a review, which was recently conducted on iSolate nanotech coating. The company uses this protective coating for hearing solutions.
The study was performed on 50,000 iSolate nanotech-coated hearing aids. The analysis shows a 50% reduction in debris and moisture related repairs in the period of the first six months. One of the executives of ReSound, Jennifer Groth says that the iSolate nanotech can offer better results in the 9 -12 month duration.
iSolate nanotech from ReSound coats all parts of a hearing instrument. The coating’s thin layer shields all external and internal components of a hearing aid without disturbing their performance. Thus, moisture or liquids that come into contact with any component will not be absorbed, rather they will roll off. This shows that ReSound’s protective coating does not protect just the individual components of a hearing aid, but it protects the device as a whole. The coating process is carried out in a vacuum chamber.
Hence, with the use of iSolate nanotech technology, ReSound is able to provide durable hearing aids. This lessens the product returns and repairs, leading to a large group of satisfied patients.
