Producer of Fit & Fresh portfolio of products, MEDPort in partnership with Milliken & Company has developed a private label series of Fit & Fresh containers using polypropylene clarified with Milliken’s advanced clarifying agent, Millad NX 8000.

The new containers provide better aesthetic appeal, brightness and clarity for sensitive consumers. The product series comprises Smart Portion Chill Containers 2 Cup, 2-in-1 Salad Shakers and Lunch on the Go. All products are available with detachable ice packs.
During the development stage, Milliken assisted MEDPort and its molder to assure a seamless conversion to Millad NX 8000 clarifier. Milliken delivered clarified polypropylene resin samples to MEDPort and offered process optimization services for the first batches of the new product line.
Polypropylene clarified with Millad NX 8000 offers glass-like clarity and brightness, while conventional clarifiers produce yellowish cast. Brightness and clarity in food containers represent quality, safety and purity. The Millad NX 8000 provides transparency not only to highly oriented or thin parts but also to thicker-wall parts. This characteristic makes MEDPort to develop more-substantial walls with better operating life and aesthetic appeal.
