Air Products announced that at it will introduce its Deposilk Q1 Polymer at 2011 In-Cosmetics show to be conducted in Milan, Italy from 29 to 31, March 2011.
The polymer improves deposition of silicone and similar active ingredients on hair or skin, offers personal care formulations and improves sensory aesthetics and overall feel.
The Deposilk Q1 is a special polymer proportion that effectively deposits of water-soluble and anti-aging personal care active ingredients. The polymer offers sensory and deposition advantages and steady rheology profile across surfactant-based systems as well as high and low pH systems. It also offers better emulsion stabilization advantages. The polymer’s film forming and mild nature characteristics make it suitable for modern formulation applications. It allows formulators to minimize the levels of sensory agents and silicone, resulting in easier formulation proportion.
Along with the Deposilk Q1, Air Products will also display its comprehensive line of personal care polymers comprising Hybridur and Intelimer polymers at In-Cosmetics. The Intelimer polymer is sensitive to heat and can rapidly change the rheology. Its film strength and other characteristics change with quick melt transition, making formulators to use temperature as a parameter to profile the functionality and feel of their formulations. The Hybridur polymer is a pure hybrid polymer that contains urethane-acrylic and exhibits intense water resistance, high reliability and strong ingredient dispersion.
