The Association of International Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators have awarded the ‘Technology of the Year’ title to Sensory Analytics’ SpecMetrix systems at their Annual Management Meeting 2011.
The SpecMetrix system is a major breakthrough and will positively impact the wide sections of the converting industry.
The Industry Manager of Sensory Analytics, Greg Frisby, stated that the SpecMetrix In-line and Lab systems have assisted converters and producers to decrease their coating expenditures, while improving the quality of the products and production output, resulting in the wide acceptance of the system in the converting industry. The company is happy to receive the exclusive award, Frisby said.
The SpecMetrix system provides accurate measurements of film weight and thickness of coatings in real time without making contact with the substrates or coatings. The system offers a new non-radioactive and non-contact approach to gauge metals, foils, coated papers, barrier coatings and other film finishes, varnishes, adhesives, hard coats, dry or wet ultraviolet coatings. It assists producers to decrease their environmental impact.
