Supplier of hardgoods and medical, industrial and specialty gases, Airgas has inked a five-year supply deal with Johnson Controls to deliver personal protection equipment, welding hardgoods and associated products, packaged and bulk industrial gas and refrigerant gas.
Airgas’ new supply deal is part of its Strategic Accounts program that caters to global customers to gain from sole-source supply chain management services. The company’s strategic account employees located at its 12 regional companies offer everyday service via over 850 branches located across the country. The Strategic Accounts method uses Airgas’ proven distribution platform of services and products to supply customized solutions for a wide range of industries.
The Sourcing Manager at Johnson Controls, Eric Mack, stated that Airgas’ experience in supply chain management, extensive range of products and countrywide presence would enhance the performance of the company’s Building Efficiency business.
The Senior Vice President of Energy and Materials Markets at Airgas, Pat Visintainer, stated that the company has been offering personal protection equipment, welding hardgoods, packaged gases and refrigerant gases to several facilities of Johnson Controls over the past several years. The new deal for supplying Airgas products and services for Johnson Controls’ all three major businesses, including Power Solutions, Automotive Experience and Building Efficiency, would strengthen the partnership between the two companies, Visintainer said.
