Kermel Develops Elastic, High Performance Fabric

Producer of protective clothing, Kermel of France has developed an elastic, thermostable textile base fabric called Stretch Kermel to fulfill the clothing requirements of police and military staff.

Stretch Kermel is a right mix of aesthetics, safety and comfort and provides optimum technical and mechanical performance. Police and military personnel wear their uniform for extended period of time and are anticipated to maximize their mobility during operations. Stretch Kermel’s elastic property enables ease of mobility and considerably decreases the friction noise, a usual problem with static fabrics.

Stretch Kermel has low residual deformation after elongation because of its elastic nature. It decreases wrinkles in clothing and thus eliminates potential accidents. The fabric can be printed to facilitate any kind of camouflage and can be utilized to produce parts or a complete clothing item.

Stretch Kermel has high resistance to abrasion and provides maximum protection against infrared reflection. The fabric acts like a second skin for police and military personnel.

The company will display the Stretch Kermel solution along with its other products at the MILIPOL 2011 trade show to be conducted between 18 and 21 October 2011 in Paris.
