Graphic Packaging’s subsidiary, Graphic Packaging International declared that it has signed a definitive deal to purchase all the business and assets of Sierra Pacific Packaging.
Sierra Pacific Packaging manufactures corrugated boxes, beverage carriers and folding cartons for the consumer packaged goods market. With this acquisition, Graphic Packaging can now serve customers based in the West Coast region. The deal is anticipated to be completed in the Q2 of 2011.
According to David Scheible, President and Chief Executive Officer at Graphic Packaging International, the company has been acquiring businesses and attaining performance enhancement goals over the years. This acquisition offers improved operational cooperation to the customers and Sierra’s sustainable culture, vision and values complement perfectly with Graphic Packaging’s growth strategy in the coming years, he added.
The Chief Executive Officer at Sierra Pacific Packaging, Allen Ennis stated that the company specializes in manufacturing beverage carriers using 100% recycled products. The company is happy to integrate its businesses with Graphic Packaging, he said.
