Graphite Metallizing Introduces GRAPHALLOY Tin-Based Babbitt Materials

Graphite Metallizing has introduced a group of GRAPHALLOY Tin Based Babbitt materials that can be used in high temperature up to 350° Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). These FDA-approved tin based babbitt materials are prepared in accordance with NSF certified grades so that they can be utilized for drinking water.

GRAPHALLOY standard and custom designed products provide lifetime cost savings and significant operating advantages over conventional bushings and bearings.

GRAPHALLOY Tin Based Babbitt materials offer numerous advantages. They can remove contamination, liquid lubricants and the requirement for oil or grease. The tin based babbitt materials are environmentally safe to use and machine by eliminating grease and oil, and their maintenance and contamination can also be economized by eliminating liquid lubricants. Since GRAPHALLOY Tin Based Babbitt dispels heat, it can be a substitute for plastics as it will neither cold flow nor melt. In low temperature applications, these bearings work out lubrication problems triggered by the density of grease and oil that inhibits functioning of the equipment.

The self-lubricating GRAPHALLOY materials can remain unchanged in extreme temperatures and in severe environments. GRAPHALLOY bushings and bearings are utilized for designing new equipment and plant maintenance. GRAPHALLOY Tin Based Babbitt can be used in low temperature applications, potable water and food applications.
