Daiya Kogyo now markets Dia Chip color mica, a thin, flaky pattern material, which provides an artificial marble effect.
The material can be used in various applications, including paints and kneading into resins. The Dia Chip H, an enhanced version of Dia Chip, has been introduced by the company.
The Dia Chip is a naturally colored material and has high flexibility. It effectively represents different patterns that range from mystical natural stone to heavy pebble surfaces. The base material of the Dia Chip is mica and is available in random flakes shape.
Artificial marble, also known as cultured marble, is a construction material that is made using polyester or acrylic resin. Major applications of the marble are kitchen and bathroom countertops and bathroom and bathtub surfaces.
The heat resistance of the Dia Chip ranges from 230ºC to 300ºC. The material provides very fine finished pattern compared to earlier version and offers high product durability, which means the breakage and color fading rate is less in polycarbonate resin and thermoplastic applications.
Applications of the Dia Chip H are PVC used in floor sheet, injection molding of polypropylene, polycarbonate, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, and other resins, and in fiber-reinforced plastic for bathtub and kitchen counters.
The Dia Chip is offered in 12 colors, including pink, brown, black, white, cream and yellow. The material is available as 10 kg package.
