Plextronics, a specialist in printed lighting, solar, display and other organic electronic products, has selected Sanyo Chemical Industries, a surfactant and performance chemicals manufacturer, as its Japanese distribution partner.
Both companies have entered into an agreement under which Sanyo Chemical will distribute Plextronics’ Plexcore OC inks in Japan. Plexcore OC inks have been created particularly for OLED lighting uses.
Plextronics’ VP of business development, Jim Dietz pointed out that Sanyo has been chosen for its high reputation in the Japanese market as it produces and sells superior and high performance products.
The partnership will provide Plextronics a chance to work closely with some of the world’s leading OLED lighting developers to enhance the use and commercialization of OLED technology.
Sanyo Chemical is currently planning to develop new business opportunities and Plextronics’ innovative conductive polymer technology has significantly attracted the company. Hence, the agreement with Plextronics represents a forward step for Sanyo Chemical's new business field development.
