The China Quality and Technology Supervision Department has granted a renewed ‘National Industrial Product Manufacturing Permission’ to Fuwei Films (Shandong) Co. (Shandong Fuwei), a subsidiary of Fuwei Films (Holdings) in May 2011.
Fuwei Films (Holdings) produces and supplies superior quality biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate (BOPET) plastic films in China. Based on the evaluation of important projects on food plastic packaging containers and materials, Shandong Fuwei earned the renewal for the entry certification.
The China Quality and Technology Supervision Department began the entry certification regulations in 2008 for firms in the Chinese BOPET films market. Companies that received the National Industrial Product Manufacturing Permission are qualified to manufacture BOPET films in China.
Shandong Fuwei was first awarded the certification in April 2008, which ended in April 2011. The company’s renewed permission will end in April 2016. It produces BOPET films that are utilized to package alcohol, tobacco, cosmetics, medicine and food. The plastic films are also used in the magnetic, electronics and the imaging industries.
