Bal Seal to Exhibit Low Friction Seals at Paris Air Show

Bal Seal Engineering has announced that it will exhibit low friction seals that are used in electrical contacts for signal and current transmission, FLIR pods and other applications at the Paris Air Show 2011.

An innovative material blend has been recently launched by the company and is mainly developed for applications requiring less frictional drag in FLIR pods. The formulation provides positive environmental sealing capabilities in tough environments and protects internal drive systems and electronics. The mix of custom seal design and material science contributes to combat-readiness of the FLIR technology and longer life of electric motors.

Bal Seal will also demonstrate the Canted-coil spring for military and commercial hardware applications. The product integrates both mechanical and electrical properties, which increase the performance and reduce system complexity. The demonstration includes the functioning of Bal Seal’s products in defense and aerospace equipment.
