Thermal Technology has expanded its manufacturing capacity with the addition of a new production facility to meet the growing demand for the Model K1 sapphire crystal grower. The new plant is located near Thermal Technology’s sales and manufacturing facility in Santa Rosa, California.
Thermal Technology is a manufacturer and provider of the crystal growing equipment and high temperature vacuum furnaces to process quartz, glass, ceramics and metals. The company has made over 3000 system installations in 40 countries.
There is a strong market response to the Model K1 system. As Thermal Technology’s growers use the modified-Kyropoulos method, they continue to be the most productive equipment in the market. These growers have a short growth cycle and large crystal size. Thermal Technology ships numerous sapphire crystal growers every week and the new facility supports high-volume production, which enables the company to address the growing need for the Model K1 grower from its customers.
Production Manager of the company, Jim Coffey quoted that the new facility considerably boosts Thermal Technology’s production capacity and enhances the total flow of the production processes. This expansion is driven by the consistent sales growth of the Model K1 systems.
