Bayer MaterialScience will display its latest UV-curing coatings at RadTech Europe 2011 to be conducted from 18 to 20 October 2011 in Basel, Switzerland.
Bayer MaterialScience’s high productivity and eco-compatibility technology has demonstrated its effectiveness in several polyurethane coating applications. This year, Bayer will display its industrial coating products of parquet flooring, furniture and wood as well as a novel technology for the on-site application of parquet coatings.
Bayhydrol, Bayer MaterialScience’s waterborne UV-curing coating line allows coating of products in an eco-compatible and minimum-emission process. Bayhydrol UV XP 2775, a zero-solvent waterborne dispersion for white-colored, UV-curing topcoats and coatings, produces coating surfaces with high hardness and gloss as well as superior stain and chemical resistance.
Bayer MaterialScience’s latest UV-curing product, Bayhydrol UV 2792 XP is a cationic urethane acrylate emulsion. Its rapid drying ability makes it a suitable industrial basecoating for parquet flooring and furniture. It binds strongly on problematic wood and suppresses staining wood elements like tannins.
UV-curing clearcoats produced from the Bayhydrol UV-based waterborne coatings or Desmolux line’s 100% solid systems are suitable for parquet flooring, which requires superior resistance to chemicals and abrasion. The quick UV curing coating also assures high efficacy and speed in the manufacturing of prefabricated parquet. The UV drying process allows the renovation of floors on-site by rapidly curing the newly applied coating.
