Ashland Performance Materials, a global provider of epoxy vinyl ester resins and unsaturated polyester resins, announced the commercial availability of Aroset AGX-L adhesive in Europe.
This high-performance pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) material is ideal for medical applications, as it provides excellent adhesion property to fabrics. It also features a joint balance between shear, peel and tack properties.
Ashland Performance Materials’ Aroset AGX-L line of pressure-sensitive adhesives is produced using a cross-linking profile and a distinctive polymer. The combination offers enhanced adhesion to foams and fabrics, which is an important characteristic for bandages, skin-applied tapes and other medical products, stated the director of sales.
Aroset AGX-L is a pure acrylic and toluene-free adhesive that meets the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulation 21 CFR 175.105 for adhesives. The adhesive is coater-ready for application in the health care industry and it gets dried to form a clear and tacky film.
